Nirton orbits a K8 V star and has two satellites: UWP:F330260-0, Orbit: 7, UWP:YR00000-0, Orbit: 1. The main world is 9,760 km in diameter with a molten core and a world gravity of 0.78 Terra. The planet orbits at 0.2 AU from the primary with an orbital period of 45.304 standard days and a rotation period of 150.0 standard days. The axial tilt is 33 degrees with an orbital eccentricity of 0.01 and a seismic stress factor of 6.296. The main world has no atmosphere or water reserves. It is a dead world. However, it does have extensive radioactive and heavy metal reserves.
For those that have jumped insystem, there is a navigational beacon that warns all vessels from approaching Nirton. However, there is a gas giant in the system that may be used for refueling.

The primary satellite of Nirton in orbit 7 is used as an asylum for Imperial political prisoners. The satellite is 5,120 km in diameter and is a low gravity world at 0.225 Terra. The orbital period around Nirton is 4.248 standard days and the rotation period is 17.353 standard hours. The axial tilt is 43 degrees and a seismic stress factor of 7.296.
The satellite has a very thin oxygen-nitrogen mix at 0.18 atmospheres. The mean temperature on the surface is 88 degrees C.
The only facility on the planet is housed underground. A single
landing beacon is above the facility on the surface. Also hidden
on the surface is a system defense station consisting of nuclear missiles
and particle accelerators. Once every 30 standard days an Imperial
naval vessel will visit the facility to drop off supplies and change out
personnel.
