Types of Food Service Ownership

There are several options potential food service owners have in organizing their business. There are many considerations with legal and tax ramifications. Franchising is a common option for foodservice ownership. The advantages and disadvantages of franchising will be examined.

Be able to compare the advantages and disadvantages of the various legal forms of business ownership,
Be able to discuss the merits and potential pitfalls of purchasing a franchise,
Be able to discuss the merits of the different types of foodservice ownership.
