SUPPLEMENTAL PROJECTS INFORMATION
This information is a supplement to your lab syllabus and your lab manual and is important to you as we cover Word 6.0 sessions I through 4 and Excel 5.0 sessions I through 5 that are detailed on your syllabus.
This information is very important to you in terms of the changes and additions that are made to the projects in the lab manual.
The specific end of session exercise that you will complete for a project grade is detailed in your lab syllabus.
Please make sure that you complete and tum in the correct exercise for your project.
You will not be given credit for turning in the wrong exercise.
DO NOT TURN IN ANY WORK UNLESS IT IS AN ASSIGNED PROJECT.
You will create and work with files and do some printing in the practice sessions of the manual, but this is not to be tumed in.
Also, DO NOT TURN IN PROJECTS BEFORE THEY ARE DUE.
WORD 6.0 FOR WINDOWS
WORD PROCESSING LAB 1. SESSIONS I AND 2 IN THE MANUAL
PROJECT WP-1. This project consists of 2 exercises or parts.
Part 1. Hands-On Exercise 4, pages 38-39.
Work through Session I in your manual and then follow directions a-g for Exercise 4.
Place your 4 lines of student information 2 lines below the last line of the letter on the left margin.
Edit your work, do a print preview, and print the document.
Part 2. Hands-On Exercise 1, pages 83-85.
Work through Session 2 in your manual and then follow directions a-e.
Place your 4 lines of student information 2 lines below the last line of the memo on the left margin.
Edit your work, do a print preview, and print the document.
Staple Part 2 to the back of Part I for Project WP- 1. Do not turn them in separately.
WORD PROCESSING LAB 2, SESSION3
PROJECT WP-2 Hands-On Exercise 1, pages 114-115.
Work through Session 3 in your manual and then follow directions a-g for Exercise 1.
Place your 4 lines of student information 2 lines below the last line of the letter on the left margin.
Edit your work and print preview before printing the document.
WORD PROCESSING LAB 3, SESSION 4
PROJECT WP-3 Hands-On Exercises 3 and 4, pages 159-161.
Work through Session 4 in your manual.
Follow the directions a-m in Exercise 3.
Save the document as BUDGET95.
You do not need to print this exercise.
Follow directions a-g in Exercise 4. Place your 4 lines of student information 2 lines
below the last line of the document on the left margin.
Edit, print preview and print the document.
Project WP-3 is a one page printout.
EXCEL 5.0 FOR WINDOWS
SPREADSHEETS LAB 1. SESSIONS I AND 2
PROJECT SS-1. This project consists of 2 exercises or parts.
Part 1. Hands-On Exercises I and 2, pages 38-40.
Work through Session I in your manual and then follow directions a-I in Exercise I and directions a-k for exercise 2.
Enter your 4 lines of student information into the spreadsheet in A 1 3, A 1 4, A 1 5, and A 1 6.
Edit your work and do a print preview.
Print your spreadsheet before saving the document and exiting Excel.
Part I of Project SS-1 is one page.
Part 2. Case Problem 1-3, pages 87-89.
Work through Session 2 in your manual.
Follow directions 1-3 for the case.
Enter your 4 lines of student information together in an appropriate place on the spreadsheet.
Edit your work, do a print preview, and save the file again to your disk with the appropriate filename.
Print your project.
Circle or highlight your student information.
Staple Part 2 to the back of Part 1. Project SS-1 is a 2 page project.
Do not turn them in separately.
