Japan after 1392

The control of the emperor waned and the power was controlled by warriors or samurai’s under the leadership of the Shogun. Ideas and influences from the Asian continent flowed to Japan before and after the island nation’s self imposed isolationism from the 17th to the 19th century. Japan’s centuries of isolation ended with the Meiji restoration in 1868 ushering in the modern era.
