a) How does NDVI use environmental adaptations of plants to infer quality of the vegetation?

b) How did the year 1992 differ from the average NDVI values of the satellite images? What was the environmental cause of the difference?

2. Although many migratory birds have suffered catastrophic declines in recent years, the snow goose population has increased so much that it is having an adverse effect on its environment in some areas, e.g., Knife River, Canada.

b) What impacts from the increase in snow goose population have been felt by other wild populations?
