1. Pick a pair of species which appear similar in their ecological requirements and, thus, are potential competitors. List the two species in the assignment database. Make sure your two species are not already listed in the assignment database.

2. In what ways are the species you picked similar ecologically, i.e., explain why you feel they may compete with one another? What source(s) of information did you use?

3. Is their potential competition exploitation or interference competition? Explain.

4. How would you conduct an experiment to determine if these two species do, in fact, compete with one another?

a) What are your two alternative hypotheses for this experiment?

b) What are the treatments you would use in your experiment?

c) Describe the control for your experiment.
