.Metacognition as used in the following pages refers to how we understand we understand and how we understand the process of communicating our understanding. An important question we need to always ask is, "How do we learn to learn?"

Various general areas of study base "proof" on differing metacognitive paradigms or structures. This is most apparent when contrasting the sciences to the humanities. Even within these two broad areas there are differences. The following six pages will describe the most basic of these.
