Annual duties include recruitment of new students for seven different Phoenix based cohorts: 250+ contacts annually plus approximately six presentations to interested school districts; recruitment and mentoring of part-time faculty (10-12 per year), scheduling of classes; student advising including 100+ student counseling evaluative reports, checking and completing of 15+applications for graduation, writing of 15+ letters and telephone conferences of recommendation.
1998-Present Practicum Lab Coordinator. Annual duties for 4-5 practicum sections including: Revision and publication of practicum manual and counseling forms; purchase and maintenance of video cameras, TVs and VCRs, purchase and organization of test lab materials; coordination of office space; recruitment of 100+ clients via dissemination of flyers, class presentations and approximately 24 meetings annually with school counselors, school administrations, and community agency; training and supervision of scheduling clerk and GA; liaison with NAU office staff where practicum held, orientation of students and part-time faculty to lab facilities and AV equipment; annual review of credentials and approval of approximately 20 site-based school supervisors.
2000-Present Grant Administrator, Pinal County School Counseling Consortium. Monthly meetings in Florence, Arizona with director and counselors from eight rural elementary school districts. Annual site visits to schools in: Superior, Ray, Kearny, Sacaton, Maricopa, Toltec, 11 Mile Corner, and Oracle. Training workshops for participating counselors. Gathering and analysis of data, preparation of annual report for U.S. Department of Education.
2003-Present Faculty Coordinator, Learner Centered Education Grant, ABOR. Project objective to create mentoring relationship between full-time and part-time faculty, statewide. Duties include: Recruitment of 8 full-time faculty from Educational Psychology, Educational Leadership, Educational Leadership, Educational Specialties, and Curriculum and Instruction. Recruitment of 27 part-time faculty in Maricopa County. Half-day training workshop for full-time faculty in Flagstaff (February); full-day seminar for all participants in Phoenix (April), creation of WebCT site, supervision of project GA, coordination of mentoring relationships, interim progress report, outcomes assessment measurement.

SERVICE
EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT
Coordinator, Counseling programs, Phoenix and Tucson areas. Duties include sequencing of classes, liaison with five NAU distance education offices, overseeing graduate admissions into program, program advisement, and other related duties. (1997-Present).
CACREP Liaison, Educational Psychology, Phoenix area statewide programs. Participated in CACREP accreditation process, Summer 1998. Provided documentation and testimony in support of providing clinical training in a distance learning site. We were one of the first institutions accredited in this area of counseling practice as a result of this audit (November 1998), and language was added to the CACREP standards directly reflecting our practices. Coordinator, National Counselors Exam, Phoenix. Duties include receipt and distribution of applications, advising students re review resources for test preparation, collection of fees and check of completed applications, hire test monitor and arrange for testing site, check and return completed exams to national site. (1998-present).
Mentor, new faculty, Educational Psychology statewide programs. Worked with Paul Kadota, Kayenta; Joyce de Voss, Tucson; Yolanda Garcia, Phoenix; Denice Hood, Phoenix; Pit Kolodinsky, Yuma. As the first Educational Psychology full time faculty located away from the Mountain campus, I was able to help others structure their responsibilities in similar roles. (1998-present).
Member, Counseling Committee, Educational Psychology Area. This committee meets monthly during the academic year to discuss specific counseling program-related matters. (1997-present).
Member, Human Relations Task Force. Duties involved meeting monthly to draft objectives for revised degree requirements, liaison with other colleges such as psychology and nursing to develop cognates within degree program. (2001-present).
Chair, Faculty Search Committee, Chinle School Counseling. Screened six applications, interviewed candidates, and made successful hire. (1999).
Member, Faculty Search Committee, Tucson School Counseling position. (2000).
Member, Task force on revision of EPS 690/EPS 599 diversity focus. Monthly meetings to revise objectives and curriculum for multicultural counseling courses. (2001-2002).
Chair, Web Policies and Procedures Development Task Force. Committee met monthly during spring semester to draft first NAU policy on Web Course Development. Standards have subsequently been used as basis for other college standards. (2002).
COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
Member, CEE Fall Discussion Group. This was an appointed committee that met over the Fall semester to discuss directions for the CEE. (Fall 1998).
Member, COE Scholarship Committee. Annual duties involve reviewing 100+ scholarship applications and meeting three to four times during Spring semester to award scholarship funds. (2001-present).
Member, Course Evaluation Committee. Duties involve meeting monthly during academic year to review evaluation process for faculty and course review, including examination of various software packages, appropriate student review questions, and methods to increase student completion of course review packets. (2002-present.)
Member, Teacher Admissions Committee. Duties involve meeting monthly to review application exceptions to admission for entrants into teacher education program. (2002-present).
Member, Adjunct Faculty Web Curriculum Committee. Duties included developing web-based training for new part-time faculty in areas such as NAU resources, curriculum and syllabi creation, testing and assessment, and multicultural sensitivity. (2000-present).
Member, Honors Committee. Committee met to organize honors ceremony to acknowledge students with exceptional abilities. (2000-02).
Member, Promotion/Merit/Tenure Standards Committee. Duties involved meeting monthly to revise standards for tenure and promotion, including special responsibilities for statewide based faculty. (2000-01).
Member, NAU Student Retention Committee. Committee examined ways to improve student retention in college of education. (1997-99).
UNIVERSITY
Member, Committee on Instruction Technology and Distributed Learning (CITADL). Faculty met with Fred Hurst, Patrick Deegan and other distance learning adminstration to set standards for future growth. (2000-01).
Member, Intramural Grant Program Committee. Annual duties involve reviewing 30+ NAU Grant Proposals, meeting 2-3 times during spring semester to award grant funds. (2000-present).
Chair, Screening sub-committee and Member, Faculty Grievance Committee. Duties involved screening faculty grievance petitions to determine if they met criteria established by Faculty Handbook Regulations. Received legal and mediation training. Committee reviewed faculty grievance petitions and made recommendations to upper administration. (1999—2003).
Member, Computer Technologies Committee. Examination of new technologies available to faculty including review of programs such as VCC and Blackboard for Web delivery of courses. (1999).
Member, Graduate School Strategic Planning Committee. Development of handbook for new graduate students, planning for new directions for graduate school. (1999).
Faculty discussion leader, Summer Reading Program. Lead discussion groups for incoming NAU freshman on book selected for summer reading program. (2002-present).

Member, Post-secondary advisory board, Arizona School Counselors Association. Duties involved meeting monthly with representatives from UA, ASU, University of Phoenix and Ottawa University to improve standards for training of prospective school counselors. (2002-present).
Member, Editorial Review Board for Arizona Counseling Journal. Duties involved reviewing five to six manuscripts each year. (2002-present).
Member, Editorial Board, Professional School Counseling. Duties involved reviewing about 12 manuscripts per year for journal. (1999-2003).
Member, Learning Connections Consortium, Paradise Valley School District. Members of elementary school, middle school, secondary school, community college and university institutions met to facilitate better ways to transition students from one level to the next. 1998-2001).
Member, Educational Cadre, Arizona Counselors’ Academy. Steering committee developed and implemented five day intensive training program for CCBG (Comprehensive Competency Based Guidance) in state of Arizona (2000).
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE/SUPPORT/COMMUNITY SERVICE
Member, Executive Advisory Board, Pastoral Care Advisory Committee, Banner Health Systems, Phoenix. (Chaplaincy Training). Duties involved advisement to counseling training department. Duties involved interviewing prospective chaplain trainees, workshops on counseling techniques, monthly meetings to review accreditation of programs, mentoring of trainees in program, conducted exit interviews for chaplaincy graduates. (1997-2003).
Volunteer, weekly pro bono play and art therapy meetings with students at Thomas J. Pappas School for the Homeless, Phoenix. (2002-present).
Member, Chemical Abuse Advisory Committee, Peoria Public Schools. Duties involve monthly meetings with teachers, administrators, agency representatives, and police officers serving school district to share information on effective methods of substance abuse interventions with middle school students in the Peoria School District. (2000-2003).
Advisor, Phoenix Fire Department, Mental Health Task Force. Advised and developed training protocols for mental health workers who partnered with fire department, giving aid to families involved in fire situations. (1997-99).
