Introduction
The Spanish held much of the New World prior to 1600. The expeditions to the Southwest regions of the Southwestern United States were numerous. Luckily we have good accounts from these expeditions. Robert Coody, a researcher at Northern Arizona University, has extensively studied the Spanish Exploration period and will be supplying information on and about the explorations and life in the New World.
