Marozzo (as well as Fabris) taught methods where an unarmed man could defeat one armed with a knife. The following is a selection of woodcuts from marozzo's work with a description of each.

The enemy attacks with his dagger overhand, attempting a high thrust; seize his wrist from the inside and force it back outwards and upwards, at the same time pass your right leg outside and behind his right leg, grasp the left of his collar with your right hand, and so throw him over to your own left.

The enemy attacks with the dagger overhand, stabbing upwards from below. Seize his wrist from the inside, forcing it upwards and outwards, pass your right leg behind his right leg; then grasp his leg inside with your right hand, and pass your head under his arm; you can then either break his arm, or toss him on to your shoulders and either throw him heavily or carry him away.
He attacks with his dagger underhand, attempting to stab downwards. Seize his wrist from the inside, forcing it backwards and outwards, pass forward with your left foot, grasp his leg inside with your right hand, and so throw him on his back.
