Thrust Oriented Rapier
This style of rapier play is a later transitional style that existed
before the advent of the smallsword. The blade has become slimmer and cuts
rarely used. The teachings of the masters of the 17th C. interspersed with
some information of the late 16th C. is presented.
Equipment

Del Tin or Schlager bladed rapier. Blade may be any length from 38" to
42". Swept hilt guards preferred.

Padded fencing doublet in an Elizabethan or Early 17th C. style. Pants
of the same time period.

Steel gorget and leather gauntlets.

Fencing mask with added back of the head protection or fencing helm.

leather boots or period style shoes.
Other equipment that may be used are daggers, bucklers, and cloaks.
