Webquest - Ante Todo

 

La gente hispana

Introduction/ Introducción

The class will research famous Hispanic people (dead and alive) in different areas: literature, art, entertainment, politics, sports. While you research these people, think about famous non-Hispanic people, How alike are they?.

La clase investigará personajes hispanos famosos (muertos y vivos) en diferentes áreas: literatura, arte, entretenimiento, política, deportes. Mientras ustedes investiguen la vidad de estas personas, piensen en gente famosa que no sea hispana , ¿qué tanto se parecen estos personajes?

Assignment / Trabajo

As a class, we are going to create a database about famous Hispanic people. The final product will be a collection of index cards with pictures and personal information in Spanish about the people. Each group is going to make a brief presentation in class of the famous person they researched. The presentations will be delivered in Spanish as if you were the famous person talking. The presentation should include a poster with the picture of the person so that we get familiar with the person. After the presentations, the class will vote for the most interesting Hispanic person. After the completion of this webquest project, you will be able to recognize various people associated with the Hispanic world.

Como clase, vamos a crear una base de datos de gente hispana famosa. El producto final será una colección de tarjetas bibliográficas con fotos e información personal en español sobre los personajes. Cada grupo presentará en forma breve su personaje a la clase. La presentación será en español como si el personaje investigado estuviera hablando. La presentación debe incluir un poster con una fotografía del personaje para que la clase se familiarice con la persona. Después de las presentaciones, la clase votará por el personaje hispano más interesante. Después de completar este proyecto, ustedes serán capaces de reconocer varios personajes asociados con el mundo hispano.

 

 

Process/Proceso

1. The class is divided in groups of two students. Dividir la clase en grupos de dos.

2. The groups receive the name of the famous person they should research. Los grupos reciben el nombre de una persona famosa que ellos deben investigar.

Research a person from the following list / Investigue una personal de la siguiente lista:

3. The groups do their research in the internet and fill in the index card with the personal information of the assigned Hispanic person. Los grupos hacen su investigación en la internet y llenan su tarjeta con la información personal de la persona hispana asignada.

The index cards should contain the following information. Las tarjetas deben contener la siguiente información:

f. If he/she is alive, ¿Cuántos años tiene?: ______________

4. Present the Hispanic person in class. Presentar la persona a la clase.

5. Vote for the most interesting person. Votar por la persona Hispana más interesante.

6. Present the results to the class. Presentar los resultados a la clase.
