Perils of Delphine
My predecessor created a streaming RealPlayer exhibit on the "river rats" of the late 1950s along the Colorado River, narrated by one of the "rats," Delphine Gallagher. The images are slides in a SMIL presentation; more slides were needed for the exhibit and transition times needed closer sync with the narrative. A complex animation on intro page was consolidated into one series of looping frames (instead of the two originally designed, with differing numbers of frames and speeds). The audio track also needed considerable compression to make streaming plausible.

This was an excellent feet-first exploration of streaming RealPlayer media from the producer's end, as well as SoundForge XP.

07.05.00: At Bruce's request, Gallagher RealMedia successfully migrated from Jan to /cline_array on Sapphire. Symbolic link created to give impression media is stored with website in /cline.
