Project Log : Exhibits :
Bert Lauzon |
Bob Lunday (my predecessor) and Lou Steiger began work on this exhibit about the last 40 years in the life of Grand Canyon cowboy Bert Lauzon, and I stepped in to produce it after their departures. Bob and Lou created the striking home page and a few of the backgrounds. The emphasis was on producing a virtual museum exhibit, to which end I added selected popup closeup shots and user-draggable magnifying glasses. These interactive modules involved extensive research into cross-browser DHTML compatibility to enable one function and to create the other from scratch. While I was commended for raising Bert in a séance for further research, library administration requested a halt to "activities not specifically devoted to the mission of the University" and moved the copy of the Necronomicon I'd been using to Special Collections.
