Etiology

Autoimmune disease

 

 

 

 

 

Predilection

Greater in adults over 60

 

 

 

 

Location

Mucous membranes

Skin

 

 

 


Clinical Appearance

Oral lesion= less common than in Cicatricial

Desquamative gingivitis

Bullae, erosive, ulcers

Lesion heal with scarring

Treatment

Systemic corticosteroids

Other anti-inflammatory agents
