Etiology

Unclear

Immunologic pathogenesis involving cell mediated immunity

 

 

 

 

Predilection

Greater in younger

 

 

 

 

 

 

Location

Oral mucosa not covering bone

Greater in posterior

 

 

 

 

Clinical Appearance

Painful, discrete, round to oval, yellowish-white ulcers with a erythematous halo

Up to 1 cm in diameter

Spontaneous healing 7-10 days

Treatment

Topical corticosteoids
