Etiology

Herpes simplex virus

 

 

 

Predilection


Greater in children

Less common in adolescents and adults

 

 

 

Location

Lips

Gingiva

Oral mucosa

 

 

 

Clinical Appearance

Multiple tiny vesicles with profess to painful ulcers

Painful erythematous swollen gingiva

Fever, malaise, cervical lymphadenopathy

Treatment

Self-limited disease
