Etiology

Neoplastic

 

 

 

Predilection

Less than 40 year of age

Greater in males

 

 

Location

Mandible 2x greater than maxilla

 

 

Clinical Appearance

Painful diffuse swelling or mass with expansion of involved bone

Radiographic Features

Poorly defined radiolucency to radiopacity Asymmetric widening of the periodontal ligament space Sunburst pattern

Microscopic Features

Malignant tumor

 

 

 

Treatment

Surgical excision

Multiagent chemotherapy
