Etiology

Congenital=developmental

Adults=response to trauma

 

 

Predilection

Greater in females

 

 

Location

Most common intraoral location tongue

Clinical Appearance

Deep red to blue mass that blanches with pressure

Microscopic Features

Vascular lesion composed of numerous small capillaries or larger blood vessels

Treatment

Injection of sclerosing solution

Spontaneous remission
