Monostatic=one bone

Greater in the maxilla

Frequently affected bones, rubs, femur, tibia

Polystatic/Jaffe type

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clinical Appearance

Oral/facial painless swelling of the jaw

Malocclusion

Displacement of teeth

Cafe` a Lait macules on skin

Polystatic/Jaffe type=more than one bone involved

Albright syndrome=Extensive, progressive involvement of many bones

 

 

Endocrine abnormalities

Radiographic Features

Diffuse "ground glass" radioluceny

Abnormal bone blends into normal bone

Unilocular and multilocular radiolucencies


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Microscopic Features

Benign fibro-ossious lesions

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Treatment
