History: A thirteen year-old boy came to the clinic for routine dental hygiene services. His Medical History is within normal limits. Intraoral exam reveals enamel that has a tendency to chip away exposing the dentin. The dentin is prone to wear excessively, his first permanent molars and maxillary anterior teeth undergoing particularly severe attrition. His deciduous dentition had been similarly affected. Investigation reveals that many members of his family exhibited the same trait.
