Flights into London

It is proably best to buy a same-day, one-way train ticket to Sheffield form London. For return, buy the same-day ticket on the day of return. It would not be a bad idea to check with the ticket seller, since he or she will know new rules as they appear and such people are usually very helpful.

Flights into Manchester

The train to Sheffield leaves from the Manchster Airport. It is either direct or with a switch at Manchester Picadilly Station. The two kinds seem to alternate. Takes about an hour and a half and goes through some very nice country.

If you need a place to stay in Manchester for the night of 1 July, you might try Bewley's Hotel +44-0161-498-0333.  Or maybe +44-161-498.0333.  It is 79 pounds per night but has a free shuttle to the airport. It is quite possible to go to the Bell in Campo performance and take the train to Manchester that night, flying out in the morning. Trains (some but not all) are as follows.
