Optional Web ExplorationThe authors of your text do not present humanistic psychology well. This area of study does not appear to be a strong point for Hyman. The most important misinformation is the confusion between humanism and humanistic psychology. As you read more about the people who write about and represent this area of psychology, you will recognize the inaccuracies for yourself. The second kind of misinformation is in the beliefs Hyman ascribes to third force psychology. Try looking up some of these people. Then you can build your own perspectives about how these ideas might contribute to education.
