Review Tools

As you gleaned knowledge from the different modules, you collected many tools. Now it is time to do a personal review. In this course, they are organized in several ways. We organize them by possible school of thought -

behavioral, biophysical, cognitive, ecological, humanistic, psychodynamic

and by how we might utilize them to prevent, support or correct behaviors.

Naturally, some tools will belong to more than one persuasion. We can also use a tool to correct a behavior in one situation, and see it as a useful way to prevent problems in another situation.

The classification is helpful for acquiring and remembering these techniques, but of course, the crucial test will come in the classroom.

Assignment:

Compile a list of all the tools you acquired.
Place them in convenient categories, using the table on this page.
Once you have sorted them out, send the list to the professor, using the response box
Keep a copy for yourself, since you will be using these tools to develop your final.
