Speaker Biographies

John Doherty

    John is the Undergraduate Reference Services Librarian at Northern Arizona University.  He works with the library's instruction program to develop online delivery of library instruction on campus and to NAU's statewide students.  John has spoken on instruction issues at various national and local conferences and preconferences, including Students in Transition, LOEX of the West and the AzLA Annual Conference.  John is also the current chair of ARLIRT.

Sean Evans

    Sean is a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Northern Arizona University.   His particular focus is delivery of reference services to NAU's statewide students.  Sean is very well known within the state and national government documents circle.  He has developed and presented at many local and statewide conferences, including the highly acclaimed "Docs Tours" and the AzLA Annual Conference.  Sean is also the current chair of GODORT.

Kevin Ketchner

    Kevin Ketchner is the Instructional Services Librarian at Northern Arizona University.  He coordinates the Cline Library's instruction program and develops instruction to meet the university's diverse needs.  Kevin has presented conference papers and preconference workshops both nationally and locally on library instruction issues.  Kevin is a former chair of ARLIRT and is active in AzLA's governance.

Jerry O'Donnell

    Jerry O'Donnell is the chief public information officer for the Denver Region of the U.S. Census Bureau. He has over 31 years of service with the Census Bureau, and is responsible for providing information services and training programs in the ten state region comprising the Rocky Mountain and Great Plains States. He has authored a number of census publications and has published many articles on the use of census data.

Beth Schuck

    Beth is the Electronic Reserves Librarian at Northern Arizona University. She is also responsible for coordinating the library's work with faculty to integrate electronic content into Internet courses. Beth has presented workshops and preconferences at various conferences including the Indiana Library Association's Annual Conference. She has spoken on Internet resources, electronic reserves and customer service issues. She will be presenting a program at the AZLA Annual Conference in December.
