Use CatTrac to find materials located in the Renne Library. The Renne Library has a number of resources specific to biomedicine, both electronic and in print. Some examples of print resources that ma y be useful for biomedical research are the following:

Library Indexes: OVID

The OVID Library Indexes consist of a number of databases which you can use to find journal articles on your topic(s). Biomedicine is best served by the GENERAL SCIENCE and CINAHL databases.

OVID is accessible in the Renne Library R eference Area or through the OUTREACH Network.

    When the telnet window opens, log in as follows:
  1. user name=OUTREACH
  2. no password
  3. If this is your first time logging into the OUTREACH Network, follow the online instructions to create your free account. If you have logged before, enter your user name and password.
  4. Choose #5 Library Access
  5. Choose #3 CatLink2
You're now in OVID; please remember that the OUTREACH version of OVID is slightly different than that available in the Renne Library, but all of the information is the same.

You'll need telnet software to access the OUTREACH Network.

Medical Index: MedLine

Medline is the online version of the National Library of Medicine's Index Medicus. It is an index of professional journal articles specific to the medical sciences.

Medline is available to MSU-Bozeman users through the University of Washington's Library Health Sciences Track, via telnet.
