Diary of Books
 
"Diary of Books" I stole that, (Apparently from someone quite a bit more attractive and probably better read than me). I don't mind saying that . . . I mean the bit about borrowing (or the bit about her being more attractive than me), we all borrow in one way or another. The idea remembering is nothing new and I have done a diary of books for awhile. Only thing is I am not very good at it. What's the criteria? Books I have completed? Books I have started but didn't finish? Was that the books fault? My fault? the dogs fault? your fault? LIFE IT'S OWN SELF'S fault - I digress

I Digress . . .

  • Lest I sound like a cataloger A story or shout in itself, (I am trained somewhat) in the idea of cataloging, but let me tell you. There is only one REAL cataloging system - wherever and however the hell you can best find a book when after recommending it to somebody after many beers  so the connection is still fresh to whatever tangent you had been talking about that made it imperative that you lend it to them in the first place - Also don't take the time to put a "This book belongs to" bookmark in it - If you can't lend it out don't mention it to the person - People who over catalog are suspect.

Criteria for keeping a Diary (this sounds a bit to. . .  feminine . . . a change is . . . 10 words away) is books that have worked for you for whatever reason. SO . . . Book memoir, account, or log will suffice . . .
