Student Teams

Each team will be made of of students with similar interests. Students will be placed on teams according of their three highest choices made from the following list during the first day of class.

Jazz
Choral/Vocal
Winds/Percussion
Strings
Keyboard/Guitar
Composing/arranging/synthesis

Team activity
  1. Work together on self-help exercises and selected homework
  2. Help and quiz each other on chapter readings
  3. Ask questions in class on behalf of the team.
  4. Review for exams
  5. Team projects.
  6. Brainstorming sessions for semester projects. Resultsreported to the class
Team Evaluations
  1. Team members grade each other's contribution to the group. Evaluation forms will be provided.
  2. Each team member receives the team grade for a project
