1. Francis Bacon was a 16-17th century British thinker and philosopher whose writings stressed the importance of experience and observation in scientific work. His work is associated with the ideas of empiricism.

Open the link below and read a story written in the 17th century by Francis Bacon that illustrates the value of empiricism in arriving at "truth" or the "correct answer."
