SALES PROPOSAL TRANSMITTAL LETTER

ABOUT SALES PROPOSAL TRANSMITTAL LETTERS

Assume that your cannot see your "prospective" customer in a face-to-face selling interview. Further assume that the "prospect" wishes you to send a detailed proposal of meeting details and pricing BEFORE they will consider talking with you (salesperson) any further. This is when you use a "Sales Proposal Transmittal Letter."

Think of this letter like the "cover letter" that you send with your resume when looking for a job (isn't this also a selling situation)? In this case, your resume supplies details while your cover letter introduces and gives an overall and introductory "softsell." When a proposal is sent in the mail, the salesperson isn't their in person to explain anything. Thus, the sales transmittal letter introduces and gives a "softsell" to the proposal.

See the specifications for a Sales Proposal Transmittal Letter Below the example of "stationary." You will understand the content that is needed.
