Branding is essential for modern advertising and marketing. Imagine that you're
visiting Flagstaff from a third-world country and someone has dropped you off at
Safeway and given you money to buy a box of cereal. Think of the hundreds of
choices, the names, graphics, price stratas, etc. Without branding, that it what
all consumers would do every time they purchase. Branding creates an identity
which reassures the consumer that they know how the product will perform, along
with other important attributes.
