HdW 58" 44 1/2" 7/8" 5 1/2" Greatsword foil.  Shows evidence of parrying with the edge.  Quillons are 11" across.  blade thickness runs from 1/4" and smaller to tip.  Very nice balance.  Feels like the actual greatswords we handled in the collection.
HdW 40 1/8" 33 1/2" 1 3/8" 3 1/2" Early 16th C sidesword.  Ricasso averages 1" wide.  Quillons 7 1/2" across.  The balance on this piece is superb.  Weight very light.  Shows some edge damage near the hilt and at the sweet spot.
A1905.658 42" 37" 4 3/4" Sidesword. Ring depth is 2 1/2".  Looks like a later replacement blade on this piece.
A1881.37.26 43 1/2" 38 1/2" 1" 5 1/8" Rapier.  Nice feel in the hand.  Can put two fingers above forward quillon.  Possibly a 19th C. copy.  Ricasso is 3/4".
A1937.703 50 1/2" 42" Longsword.  1567 inscribed on blade.  Sword has very nice balance.
A1953.8 46" 39 1/2" 7/8" 3" C. 1600 Rapier. Quillons 8 1/2" across.
A1905.659 43" 38" 1 1/8" 6" Sidesword.  Quillons 6" across.  Not much distal taper on the blade if any at all.  The sword definately feels like a cutting weapon.

All measurements are given in inches unless otherwise noted.  Illustrations by Gary Chelak.
