Las universidades hispanas

Introduction/ Introducción

Se espera que los estudiantes logren un aprecio por la educación en otros países por medio de una investigación basada en sus intereses y las de un compañero de clase.  Podrán ver diferencias entre las universidades donde se habla el español y las de los Estados Unidos. / The purpose of this project is to gain an appreciation for education in other countries by researching universities based on your interests and those of your classmate.  You will be able to se the differences between the universities where Spanish is spoken and the universities in the United States.

Assignment / Trabajo

Como clase, vamos a investigar sobre las carreras y las universidades en diferentes países latinos. El producto final será una presentación oral. La presentación será en español utilizando vocabulario y gramática del capítulo 1. Después de completar este proyecto, ustedes serán capaces de las carreras y universidades en diferentes países del mundo hispano.

 

 

Process/Proceso

1. The class is divided in groups of two students. Dividir la clase en grupos de dos.

2. Cada grupo decide cuál carrera les gustaría estudiar y van a investigar cómo se llama esa carrera en español. Pueden usar un diccionario o la página web: wordreference. / The group decides on which career they would like to study. Then, they are going to investigate how you say that career in Spanish. You can use your dictionary or the webpage: wordreference.

3. Una vez seleccionada la carrera, el grupo debe decidir en cuál universidad del mundo hispano les gustaría estudiar esa carrera. Para conseguir información sobre las universidades hispanas deben visitar la página web de las universidades. Luego, deben buscar la carrera que desean estudiar en el menú de carreras. Una vez localizada la carrera, obtendrán una lista de universidades donde pueden estudiar esa carrera. / Once you have selected your career, the group should decide in which university in the Latin world they would like to study their career. In order to find information about the Hispanic universities, you should visit the Universities webpage. Next, they should look for the career they want to study in the career menu. After locating your career in that menu, you will get a list of hispanic universities where you can study your career.

4. Deben visitar las páginas web de esas universidades y seleccionar la universidad que más les interese. / You should visit the webpages of the universities where your career is offered and select the university you like the most.

5. Una vez terminada la investigación en la internet deben preparar un poster/afiche con la siguiente información / Once you finish your internet research, prepare a poster with the following information:

a) Nombre de la universidad / Name of the university

b) ¿Dónde está? / Where is it?

c) ¿Por qué les gusta esa universidad? / Why do you like this university?

d) ¿Cuál es la carrera que desean estudiar? / Which career do you want to study?

e) ¿Qué clases creen que necesitan tomar en esa carrera? / Which classes do you think you need to take?

f) Fotos de la universidad / Pictures of the university.

4. Presentar el afiche de su universidad y carrera a la clase. / Present your poster to the class.
