Course Requirements

Course Description:

This course introduces you to a variety of texts and media with "Struggle" as its theme. You will be expected to contextualize the region, historical period, and social conventions that infleunce word choice. The course is meant to give you practice with texts that allow you to apply rhetorical theory, visual representation, and other various theories as applicable (gender, economic, color).
The syllabus gives you a week-by-week schedule for the course.


Course Goals:

You will learn classical and modern rhetorical theories.

You will apply these theories along with current discussion of the power of langauge.

You will study and examine various forms of texts inlcuding digital,music, and video.

You will create 2 projects that are example of groups' struggle.


Course Readings:

Because this course aims to teach you about the power of language, the readings are extremely important and necessary in order to apply informed theoretical practices into your work. Please keep up with the weekly readings.
