Welcome! This course is meant to meet the senior seminar level of reading, writing, and research with an emphasis in rhetoric. The specific theme of Language of Struggle will incorporate the past and the present conditions of how struggles were and are articulated. Because we have access to multimedia, we'll explore struggles as expressed through writing, music/audio, film, fine art, and via the internet. Your job will be to pay special attention to specific words and their context, historically, regionally, and their consequence. By the end of the term, you'll have completed 2 projects one small and one rather large. Both projects will require library research, electronic influences, written explorations and explanations. |
