Snow fall in winter is critical as the spring months are dry. June is one of the driest months of the year and has warm temperatures and winds that dessicate. March Snow. Some of the heaviest snow storms are in March and April. Soils tend to be thin here and mulching with organic matter in the fall gives plants a boost in the spring. |
