LIBRARIES
The library at CCDR houses nearly 10,000 shelved items, that include the books and pamphlets of the late Eleanor King and the late Gertrude Prokosch Kurath, both prominent in the fields of dance and dance scholarship. the CCDR library, a non-lending library, is open to the public two days a week. Wednesday and Friday from noon to four.
The library is seperated into two sections. The "brown" library consentrates on the dance aspect of CCDR. The library contains books, journals, and pamphlets that are all related to dance. The "white" library is consentrated on all other studies related to culture. The library has books on Anthropology, Ethnomusicology, Folklore, Theatre, and many different cultures are represented. The books in these libraries are dedicated to research. We are currently in the process of adding the library catalog to this web page. Please check back after July 1, 1998.
