Readings
Introduction
The following readings in the Hyman text describe various models or
paradigms that have been developed to explain human behavior. Human
science, as a branch of study, is rather young. The first laboratory for
the study of human behavior was probably the one initiated by Wilhelm
Wundt in 1896. This will give you an opportunity to familiarize yourself
with the emergence of a number of different perspectives and belief
systems about why human beings behave as they do.
