Description:  This resource, by the Sharing Knowledge Project, is a quick guide that provides information on effective online facilitation and its impact on teaching and learning.  This guide simplifies the role of an online facilitator to a point where any person who is new to the world of online facilitating will be able to receive a lot of useful information.  This guide discusses the meaning of online facilitation and why this role is so important.  The guide also discusses the role of a facilitator and provides some of the challenges that may arise while facilitating online.  The key elements to this online guide are the sections that provide information on teacher preparation, moderation models, and various online learning resources/articles.  I chose this site because I felt that because this was only Sheryl’s second time facilitation an online course, she still has a lot to take in before she is able to truly be effective throughout an entire course.  This quick guide is a tool that would be of use to Sheryl and all of us new online facilitator’s as well.  Being new to the world of online facilitating, we will need many tools that will assist us in being effective online facilitators.  Donald's Evaluation Tool
