Welcome to our webliography!
As new online facilitators, we will face many challenges and hopefully experience our fair share of successes, but it will take some time and likely many mistakes before we deepen our learning and become the fantastic online facilitator we aspire to be. In fact, our struggle runs deep as many of us have been accustomed to instructing as the 'sage on the stage.' Facilitation may not be our natural and cultural tendency when given the opportunity to work with a group of learners. Rather, facilitation may oppose our own education experiences. We might not have many good role models to turn to. Consequently, our webliography goal was to compile a list of "reminders of good practice" for the new online facilitator. Even an experienced facilitator might benefit from reading through these resources.
Using the Case Study as our guide, our group chose to focus on the following areas given Sheryls' shortcomings and accomplishments:
