Topic 5: School Counseling, Psychological and Social Services

Purpose: The purpose of this topic is to investigate the role of School Counseling, Psychological, and Social Services in K-12 schools and its relationship with the other 7 components of Coordinated School Health.

Objectives: After completing this topic, the student will be able to
1. Describe the essential functions of school counseling, psychological, and social services.

2. Describe and give examples of how to integrate school counseling, psychological, and social services with the other 7 components of a CSHP.

3. Outline and be able to implement the action steps for implementing counseling, psychological, and social services in a school setting.
