Topic 1: Comprehensive School Health Education

Purpose: The purpose of this topic is to investigate the role of Comprehensive School Health Education in K-12 schools and its relationship with the other 7 components of Coordinated School Health.

Objectives: After completing this topic, the student will be able to:

  1. Describe the essential functions of a Comprehensive School Health Education (HE) Program.
  2. Describe and give examples of how to effectively integrate HE into the other 7 components of a CSHP
  3. Outline and be able to implement the action steps for implementing HE in a school setting.
