Topic 7: School Nutrition Services

Purpose: The purpose of this topic is to investigate the role of school nutrition services in K-12 schools and its relationship with the other 7 components of Coordinated School Health.

Objectives:

  1. Describe the essential functions of school nutrition services.
  2. Describe and give examples of how to integrate school nutrition services with the other 7 components of CSH.
  3. Outline and be able to implement the action steps for implementing a quality nutrition program in a school setting.
