HP570 : The Class : Coordinated : Introduction : Web

Using Search Engines

We will be using the World Wide Web as a resource for this course. This assignment will help you become acquainted with how to search the Web and how web pages are organized. For general information and tips on how to conduct a search on the web, click on the link below.

Tips for Searching the Web

Open your browser and select the "Search" button. On the search line, type the phrase "gothic narrative." Press the button to the right of the search line (it may say "Search, " "Go Get It," "Go For It," depending on which search engine you are using) to begin the search. The browser will then give you a list of hypertext links, which will take you to different sites that have been indexed in this search engine. Open these links to find the results of your Internet search.

Once you have finished you should:

Go on to Read the Syllabus
or
Go back to Introduction to HP570
