Purpose: The purpose of this topic is to investigate the role of state government in the promotion and support of Coordinated School Health.

Objectives: After completing this topic, the student will be able to:

  1. Describe the essential functions of state government relative to CSH.
  2. Describe and give examples of how the state department of education supports and promotes CSH.
  3. Outline action steps that could be taken to increase the support for CSH by the state department of education.
