  • Most of the major hotel chains provide high-speed access in guests’ rooms using either digital subscriber lines (DSL) or interactive television services

  • Usage fees per day range from $6.81 to $10.24

  • In 1997, there were about 4,000 hotel rooms with high-speed Internet access. This is expected to increase to 4 million by 2002
