Module Three

Activity Two - Mental Health

Look for the laws that address mental health and the rights of those who are mentally ill. Find at least three documents that address the rights of society to protection from those who are a danger to self or others due to mental disorders.

Look for at least three documents that explain the process of gaining an involuntary placement for someone who needs to be evaluated for emotional stability.

Then find some idea about the legal issues involved and make a T chart, naming those rights and the documents that address them. Print out your T chart as the beginning of your file.

Remember to print out any applicable documents of interest for your legal eagle file.
