You have been taking a class in a whole new way this semester. Think about how going through this class has been similar and how it has been different from the other classes you have taken. Think about how communicating in this medium compares. Think about how the research you have had to do on the www compares to the research you have done in traditional on-campus classes. Reflect on the following questions and respond thoughtfully to them.

1. What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of communication via the internet, as in this class?

2. Have you ever taken a class online before? Has this class been what you were expecting in an online class? Do you feel that you got to know the instructor through the interactive portions of the class? Do you feel as though you learned the skills presented in each lesson with this medium?

3. Has this class given you a different concept of what education can or should be? Why or why not?

4. Could you envision how classes that use the www like this can change the focus in learning institutions below the college level; even down to the elementary level? Please expand on your thoughts.

5. Now, can you envision how the workplace might change with the integration of technology? What do you see happening? Develop a global concept and describe it to me here.

6. Give me a description of the level of technological skill you feel you have developed over the years. Do you feel that you had enough technological background to complete the exercises in this class?

7. What skills do you feel you will need to have to work in a technological platform in a workplace of your choice? (Describe also the type of work you are interested in doing, what potential audiences you would have with whom you will need to communicate using technical writing, and some technology that you might use in this communication.)
