Access the resources in Worldwide News Online.

Select any newspaper in North America that interests you. In that newspaper, find an article that interests you. Download a copy of that article so you can work with it, and also send a copy to me.

Examine the language in the article. Referring to specific passages, analyze how clear, concise, coherant and especially how correct the language is.

Rewrite four paragraphs from the article, not merely improving the existing language, but providing new language wherever needed.

Submit both the copy of the original article (and be sure to note its source), and your corrected copy.

This assignment will be worth 50 points, and graded on the criteria explained in the 4 Cs Lesson from Module 1, Topic 1.
