CMSA OVERVIEW

The convention Marketing and Services Association (CMSA) is an organization designed for all students focused or beginning to focus upon a hospitality career to either market and sell or to service the $85 billion group and meting industry. The aim of CMSA is to enhance career and leadership growth by:

1. Offering monthly "sponsored" networking opportunities with industry contacts.

2. Provide one-on-one mentoring opportunities - students matched with industry practitioners.

3. Exposure to "cutting-edge" industry speakers and programs.

4. Provide scholarships targeted to CMSA members.

5. Provide internships that are specifically tailored to either hospitality marketing and sales or convention management services.

CMSA is affiliated with the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. The Phoenix Chapter of HSMAI is the primary industry "sponsor" for CMSA and is the active in helping students pursue their chosen career. CMSA members simultaneously belong to their student club, but also are members of HSMAI.
